Thread lift

What is a thread lift?

This is an innovative new technique for facial rejuvenation, which offers the advantages of a non-surgical procedure and therefore requires only a short recovery period.

The material consists of biodegradable threads that have long been used in surgery. During this procedure, threads are inserted into the deepest connective tissue. They attach to the skin tissue and, if correctly positioned, create tension in the desired direction. This creates a slight stretch in the subcutaneous tissue and skin, which is firmed up after a few days thanks to the natural increase in connective tissue.

A local anaesthetic is used for the treatment, and the threads are resorbed after a few months, depending on the type of material used.

This technique provides tissue support and a tightening effect using a minimally invasive technique. Compared to a traditional facelift, thread lifting offers a number of advantages for the patient. It is less stressful because the procedure is minimally invasive. There are no visible scars, and recovery time is short. The other advantage is that this procedure takes less time, and can be completed in 15 to 40 minutes depending on the area to be treated. Anesthesia should be applied 20 to 30 minutes before treatment, as there is a risk of pain and inflammation. Results are immediate after the procedure and reach their full effect after 3 to 4 weeks, and for some up to 3 months after treatment.

What effect do the wires have?

There are different types of wire for different needs. These threads generally support, tighten and lighten the skin. Depending on the type of thread used, results can also range from lifting to reshaping.

Sustainability of results :

Durability depends on the type of yarn used. Please discuss this with the practitioner at the time of your appointment.

Thread lift is suitable for women and men from the age of 30 who prefer to rejuvenate their appearance by tightening and firming the skin and/or performing a minimally invasive facelift.
